On the first of July Shaun Hunter commenced with Interact Australia Hobart, becoming their first registered participant.
Actively involved in his local community, Shaun has provided many hours of volunteer work for local sporting clubs and is a popular figure within his community.
Shaun has always wanted to work with and be part of a team at a successful organisation. Interact Australia identified Shaun’s skills and discovered that the retail and customer service industry, working with staff and customers, would provide an ideal career path.
Leading Tasmanian franchise ‘Banjo’s Bakery’ is well known for supporting and employing local members of the community. Banjo’s believe in a diverse work force, providing opportunities for everyone across Tasmania.
Robbie Isle, franchisee owner of Banjo’s Glenorchy, has offered Shaun a position as a retail assistant at the Glenorchy store where he is due to commence next week.
Shaun is extremely excited about this opportunity, and is looking forward to working with an iconic Tasmanian Bakery. Shaun’s overall goals are to commence a Certificate in Retail, and become a valued team member within the Banjos group.
Interact Australia is a values based not-for-profit organisation, inspiring action and change for people with disabilities in the community for over 30 years.
